Re: UW Tournament
Speaking of which, did anyone see the UW-LaSalle match?

Taylor was kicking long balls only with her left foot. Otherwise, she was using both feet. She came in for DeGrood.
I want to give major compliments in the game, and this year generally, to Sarah Bridges. She has become a great player and also has had a tremendous work rate.
Re: UW Tournament
Agreed. She really seems to have taken charge on defense.

Re: UW Tournament
Thanks to those who made the trek north and reported back for those of us who had to stay home to rebuild a deck rather than savor an 8-goal road trip.

Re: UW Tournament
Maybe the East Coast is giving the West Coast some respect....La Salle remains atop the Mid-Atlantic NSCAA poll despite losing to UW and UP. From Boxscore:UPSoccerFanatic wrote:I need to preserve confidences, so I only can say that he was at a school with a good team in a good conference on the West Coast and that he has moved to a school with a good team in a good conference "back East" as we East coasters say. We had a recent exchange in which he made the following comment: "The soccer out here is unimpressive and the bias against the West Coast is rampant!"
La Salle women's soccer remains atop the Mid-Atlantic Regional National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Rankings for the third consecutive week after a tough road trip to the University of Washington's Husky/Nike Invitational.
“Although we didn't get the results that we wanted this past weekend, it was a great opportunity to play against two very good opponents and play in that environment,” explained assistant coach Ally Kenney.
The Explorers (2-2-0) traveled west last week and faced two tough opponents in the University of Washington (5-0-0) and No. 19 University of Portland (4-1-0), dropping 2-0 and 3-0 decisions, respectively. However, even after its loss to Washington, La Salle remains ahead of the Huskies in the receiving votes category of the NSCAA National Poll.
“It showed us how we can grow and improve as a stronger team as we prepare for an important weekend ahead,” said Kenney.
