Re: UW Tournament
Beautiful day here in Seattle. Not many fans here yet altough the Fresno folks have me out numbered 5-1 at the moment. I came up early to beat the Seattle traffic. Team is stretching. No guarantees on updates once the game starts as I am having to use my phone. There is a wireless available from the baseball stadium but it is password protected.

Dees is dressed, but is not warming up. She has no obvious physical issues, but based on warm ups, Nicole Is starting today.

Re: UW Tournament
2-0 at half. Pilots dominating play. Cruz get a lot of play on e right side. Kaila came in for Maekela and DJ for Nicole L. late in the half. Lorielle was in a collision and had to come out for a couple of minutes. Nicole B. Not really challenged in goal. Good Pilot fan turnout.

Re: UW Tournament
Bindle in.
So we have every player on the roster in today except Dees and Sipple.
I'm guessing Sipple won't move so fast in her boot.

Good to get a relatively easy win.

Re: UW Tournament
Had to zoom off after the game to the rehearsal dinner for the wedding I am attending tomorrow so I couldn't give you a wrap up until now.
Fresno State gave 100% the whole game, unfortunately for them, they really don't have the athletes to compete with teams like the Pilots. So while the Pilots looked very good in all phases of the game, they should have looked good because the competition was not. The Pilots played to the right side a lot, where Michelle Cruz pretty much had her way with the defenders on that side. I don't know how many crosses she had, but it was plenty. Amanda dominated the scoring and could have had a couple of more goals. All the freshmen looked good when they got into the game. They were all confident and willing to mix it up. It was a good game for Nicole in goal, nothing really difficult to stop, but she made some plays and I think gained confidence by being on the field for the whole game. I don't know why Dees didn't play, she looked healthy. Taylor came in late in the game at left defense with Haily moving to Sara's spot and Sara moving up to mid (at least that's how I remember it now several hours and beers later). Taylor got a big round of applause from the Pilot fans when she came it. She played well although it looked to me like she was holding back a bit.
LaSalle lost to UW 2-0, I didn't see the game so can't give a report.

Re: UW Tournament
Thanks A Fan.
Downing playing might be simply that Garrett wants to make sure he has two keepers able to play. It's dangerous to only play your #1 choice because you are only an injury away from needing to play someone else. Better that they have had some match action. Two games in one weekend is often the time that we've seen this in past seasons.

Maybe, but since Dees didn't warm up it makes me wonder if something more is going on.
