I don't know about the rest of you, but I need some time off from MBB...
Pilots Baseball starts a 3-game series at home against LMU TODAY at 6pm...that continues tomorrow at 6 and Saturday at 1pm.
Saturday at 6pm Men's Soccer will have an alumni game at Merlo.
Saturday the 15th Women's Soccer plays Western Washington at 3pm and Men's Soccer hosts OSU at 6pm.

Haha yeah, we do need a break, but it would be exciting to get a team as good as Kent in the Chiles Center.

Slacker. We have to do the daily checks on the transfer portal ins and outs. We have to monitor the 2024, 2025 and 2026 recruiting developments. We have to speculate on starting fives, key reserves, and redshirts. We have to keep a weather eye on coaching staff and admin staff changes. We have to monitor the tweets for potential scheduling news. We have to watch for conference opponent developments. This is a 24/7 365 commitment.
Speaking of which, you recently mentioned observing some practice, and the team twitter recently had a video of some "hands on" coaching by Coach Legans. What are the off season practice opportunities?

Re: 2023-24 Schedule
Okay, I get it.
How about this:
Surely by now an extension has been negotiated and signed, right?
How about this:
So, what about Coach Legans!!Kent Wired.com wrote:Kent State men’s basketball announced Wednesday, April 5, that coach Rob Senderoff agreed to a contract extension through the 2028-29 season.
Senderoff has been a part of the basketball program for 15 seasons and head coach since 2011.
He has led his teams to eight 20-plus win seasons and is the sixth coach in the program to win Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year (2021-22).
Senderoff is KSU’s all-time winningest coach at 247.
Surely by now an extension has been negotiated and signed, right?

I just happened to be wandering from parking my car on campus to an office there and saw the guys heading into the Beauchamp Center and tagged along.
I have forgotten all the rules about how many hours the staff can spend with student-athletes during the off-season, but the practices are more about fundamentals, with the serious game stuff happening in late October and early November.
I did not see any of the players that are in the portal at practice...and not all the remaining players were in attendance...

Literally adjacent to us in the 2022-23 NET rankings (LBS 167, UP 168). Good choice.

Two games lined up in Oregon for the Tigers.
#WCC

Tennessee State will also play Oregon during their trip to the PNW as an opening round game of the Emerald Coast Classic MTE in Florida, so this will be one of the earlier games on the Pilots' NC.
TSU was #291 in Kenpom last year and a middle-of-the-road OVC team. In the "useless stat" category, this will be the Pilots' first game against a Tennessee-based school since beating Austin Peay in 1996.
