Re: Some other scores
I need not predict any more outcomes for the year, I thought Miami could beat UF and UVA would beat PSU. The Miami/UF game from what I read was a very evenly played game. As for the UVA loss, they apparently dominated possession and shots but come up short, it happens. Rough night for the ACC. By the way, Brockway started tonight for FSU in the back and from what I have heard played well. In bad news one of our fastest and most dangerous players Casey Short is sidelined with an apparent foot injury and on crutches.

Apparently not a bad night for all of the ACC - congrats - But I think you expected that score.
Northwestern tied Wisc-Milw.(24) 0-0
other partials:
PSU up on OSU 1-0 in the 69th
USD now leading 2-0 over Northridge
SantaClara up 3-0 on San Jose Sate in the 75th

PSU over OSU 1-0 final
Good win for Laura Schott, not so good for Linus Rhode.
Santa Clara final 4-0 over SJSU on scores from 4 different players.

Re: Some other scores
Thanks, anything less than 5 goals against JU would have been disappointing. We have put up 28 goals against them the last 5 times we have played. Not much of a measuring stick but a sure confidence booster . Becky Edwards, who teamed up with Keelin Winters last season in Chile, is now at midfield after spending her first 3 years in the back, she played midfield with the U-20s. She rewarded herself with a hat trick tonight.

In any event, I expect 0 to be a very natural number for the Ducks' score this evening.
Actually, some mathematicians include zero in the set of natural numbers. Of the math classes I've had (and I've had plenty), I'd say that more often than not, 0 is included. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_number for more discussion of the subject.GUPhantom wrote:

The UNC vs UCLA score 7-2 UNC was a surprise. I did not expect to see 7 goals scored versus UCLA. Looks like UNC will be the favorite this year...
Texas A&M 3-0 over USC was also a shocker....

7-2 was a surprise, but UCLA had to replace a keeper and a couple of All American defenders, - a tough first tests for the new crowd of kids. My guess is the two early scores rattled them pretty good.
The TAMU win was no surprise to me. This is Ali Kashroh.. aw heck - I can't spell it.
Anyway, USC has lost a couple of key players and will struggle early.
Colorado beating OK State is a mild upset, I guess, but it didn't surprise me.
I's not posted on SIS yet, but BC beat UCONN 3-0. It's listed on the UCONN site as an exhibition.
It looks like the new NSCAA scorekeeping system isn't up and fully running yet, I haven't figured out how to get the day's scores from it yet. So- SIS wins round 1.
Another surprise Was James Madison loosing to Richmond. It sounds like the spiders have a good freshman, who scored twice.
Stanford plays Hawaii today, which tied BYU 0-0 Friday. Stanford lost Abegg, so it will be interesting to see how the defense gels, though Hawaii may not be the ones to test them.

Re: Some other scores
Yes, the Boston College/Connecticut game was listed on both websites as non-counting. Although it wasn't in the Connecticut schedule, if you looked at the "next game" box to the right of the schedule, it said "scrimmage."
Stanford also lost its other central defender, Alison Falk, she of the first goal on WPS history and also of a red card in the WPS finals.

Whoops
USD lost to CSU bakersfield 2:1. Clearly a team they should have beaten.
That's the first loss by a WCC team this year
Their matchup next week with UCLA should be interesting.
Pepperdine beat Marquette 2-1
Those three goals are the only ones scored on the WCC all season so far.
You know that game we are looking for with no SOG allowed?
Santa Clara got one today against UCSB while beating them 2:0.

Loyola Marymount lost today to Cal State Northridge @ CSN, 3-0. Hmmm.
Our opponents, through today, are a combined 13-6.
