WCC Tourney in March for the Men's BB Team
Hello Pilot Fans,
I know it seems like a long time in the future and I look foward to a improved WCC season but I would recomend a cheap flight and tons of fun at the tourney. I guess according to the WCC site and the Commish (Wasn't it nice to hear Jason interview him at half-time last night, despite the result's of the game ),there are only 500 tickets left at the Orleans arena. It would be great if some of you die-hard Pilot Nation supporters could get the time off of work and give the young men some support in Vegas this year. Or scrap together your retirement incomes despite the recent Stock Market CRASH and current economy. Heck some of you long-time Pilot supporters and Alumni could even school a new Pilot BB fan on the HISTORY of the program. I have heard such good times of the Avino(sp) era and I bet it was fun to watch Nik's Dad play that even a Jaded College BB fan like myself would like to swap stories with you about the Lute Olson....final four season at Iowa. Or the Magic Johnson years at MSU era that I was able to watch back when I did not even know of a program other than UCLA's on the west coast....enough of the past... I was able to check out the Orleans arena yesterday and it looks like a great venue for the tourney (even though there was only a hockey game going on ). There are still room's available at the adjacent hotel which feature's satisfactory features. I'll be there,to support the Pilot's so I hope you can also.
Enough of my blowhart self,I just thought it would be great to watch the young men. I'll be the guy yelling for the Pilot's and yelling at Dave Libby (WCC ref) during the tourney j/k. But if I'm correct with the seeding the Pilot's may not be on ESPN unless they finish fourth or higher unless they win their first game . We all remember what a stinker those last two Pepperdine games were. I'm being optimistic that the improving Pilot's will finish in the top 4 in WCC though.
Have a good day, despite the game last night. BEAT CAL-State Bakersfield !!!

I agree 100%. The tournament, even in the many bad seasons of late, is a blast... and this year, with the competitive team, it should really be fun. And add Vegas on top of that... nice!
Mesa and I will be reserving a Pilot Blackjack Table at the Orleans Casino on Friday afternoon... to warm up to watch 4 other teams play Friday night! (Yes, I am hopeful for a top 4 finish this year...!)
I, too, hope to see you there!

Can't do it this year; I've already set aside some time off for the NCAA games at the Rose Garden.
Next year, though, we have been told the money to send the band will be accounted for in the budget.

I wish I could go this year, but I am not even sure where I'll be that week. I guess there is always next year...
Anyway, I just got my southwest.com email and apparently they are running a deal for trips to Vegas

you can save $250 on an air+hotel package from Portland, more if you live farther away. The only thing is, you have to book by tomorow at 6EST. Just thought I'd let people know.
