NBA Draft

Of note in this year's draft (so far):

Thon Maker, cousin of UP freshman Chier Maker, was drafted at #10 by the Milwaukee Bucks.  Thon Maker did not play college ball and is only 19 years old, the same age as Chier.

Domantas Sabonis from Gonzaga was drafted at #11 by Orlando and immediately traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Sabonis, only 20 years old, still had 2 years of NCAA eligibility remaining.

UW had 2 players drafted in first round. Pretty good for a team that was #8 at 9-9 in the Pac-12 conference.

Certainly not a big surprise that GU's Kyle Wiltjer was not drafted, but he did sign a 3-year contract with Houston....the first six months of which are guaranteed.

Kind of reinforces the notion that Lorenzo Romar is a terrific recruiter (very charismatic), but needs to turn his coaching duties over to a talented assistant or depart UW.
