Congrats to former Pilot on his first major victory over in Flushing Meadows! Taking the mixed doubles crown with Carly Gullickson, they knocked off the defending champs 6-2 6-4! Not too shabby for an unseeded duo who had never competed together before...

I have watched a LOT of tennis the past week and a half and am disappointed to say that I did not see one second of mixed doubles action. Very impressive win!
