Turned on some highlights tonight, just in time to see a player sink a long putt, and hear him identified as Ryan Nelson, who played at Portland. "He's a Pilot", said Chris Berman.  He shot an opening round 73, and is +2 in the Friday round after 9 holes, for +5 over all. Play was suspended for darkness, so he'll have to finish round two on Saturday morning. But the current projected cut line is 8 over par Shocked, so he's got a chance to make the cut. Pretty good for a qualifier.

Ryan was in the last group to tee off Friday, so he has the most holes to make up on Saturday morning. If he makes the cut, it will be a long day with 27 holes to play.

Ryan Nelson ended up with a 78 for round two, so he was 8 over par on that round, and 11 over total. He did not make the cut.
