2014 Bracket Challenge

Signed up...partially filled out. We have until after the play in/first round games to finalize it looks like.

So I got an email from Quicken Loans after logging in for my $1 Billion bracket payday. First thing they gave me was an unsubscribe option, no hassle.

Good thing so many of you guys are staying out of the bracket challenge this year. With the limited competition, I'm almost sure to win that bucket of Bud Lights!   

I tried the link but it looks like I'm too late to join? Bummer.

I will re-up on the Orleans Bucket O' Beer prize for the winner... per usual, the prize must be collected in person, at the Orleans... say at the 2015 WCC Tournament?!

If the winner is not 21 or doesn't want beer, a substitute similar prize at the Orleans will be determined!

New 10 PM deadline this year because of the billion dollar bracket? Crap. My bracket is only partially filled out...my master is on ESPN and I was going to go copy it over here.

Still says I can play tourney pick em, but gives a server error when logging in....uggh. I signed up early too so I wouldn't have to deal with logins, etc. when I finally decided to finish the thing.

I got an error message at first, too... try refreshing the page. That worked for me, and took me right to the page to fill out my bracket.

Original is still giving errors...so I created another one. Pretty lame.

So much for the Blacksheep Pavilion. That didn't take long.

No canopy?  

I feel better about missing the deadline for the billion dollars now.

I hope we hear what percentage of brackets were eliminated with that first game result... Way to go, Flyers!

Obviously, my strategy of picking the higher seeds is a bust this year. With Harvard beating Cincinnati   , I am now 1 out of 4. Yikes!

BYU was one of my upsets. Including their first half today at 2/11, they have not shot the 3Pt well since they torched the Pilots. Crazy.

I don't think Yahoo is posting results yet. But on the ESPN bracket challenge, out of 11 million entries, only 0.17% survived Day 1 without a loss. That's a pretty big sample size. I think Mr. Buffett's money is pretty safe.

On yahoo!s pick distribution Ohio State was picked on 84% of brackets. So I presume only the select few of us with big enough balls advanced past game one. I think it was 70% that picked cincy. So I imagine roughly 30% of 16% made it past game 5 or so.

Nice job on picking both N. Dakota St. and Dayton MattyWizz.

On ESPN, after Mercer>Duke, it is down to 0.02% perfect brackets.

At least you're not behind Dholcombe's half finished bracket. Though it's pretty sad that you're not ahead of it either

Stupid Duke. And usually Kansas for that matter. I can never get those two schools right. I pick them to go far they lose early. I pick them to lose early. They go far. I will say this though, this is by far the best week ever to take maternity leave. I am now 28-28 so far on seeing at least part of every game live. Not sure I can say I've ever seen part of every first round game.
