Karma
The Packers are learning all about karma. They scored an early touchdown after a clear fumble was not awarded to the Giants. Now they have had several turnovers, after leading the league in takeaways, that have put them in a big hole with 6+ minutes to go.

Re: Karma
(Full disclosure: the 49ers are my favorite team, but Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is my favorite player).
You would think if the refs were going to have a bias it would be for the big-market Giants; I don't recall so many reviewable bad calls by the top NFL officials -- and they appeared to all go in the Packers favor.
Rooted the entire game for the Giants as I did not want to see the 49ers have to go to the (possibly) frozen tundra of Lambeau Field.
Karma indeed!

Re: Karma
Actually, I think the Packers are the "big market" team, as they have a national following, similar to the old Cowboys teams. I was going to post a p.s. about the phantom blow to Rogers' head keeping another GB drive alive, but the Giants quickly recovered and scored again.
So it's NY vs. SF, and Baltimore vs. NE. Three defensive teams with modest offenses, and one offensive team with a poor defense, that may turn it on when they have to. I would think DD's 49'ers have a pretty good chance to go all the way. Stout defense, and better offense than Baltimore or NY. Plus, another home game next week.

The Packers are in a town of 100K, The Giants are in a 30 million market. So they would need a HUGE following to pass the Giants. It isn't there, at least not in any form that translates into a market.
Forbes has the Giants as #3 in the country behind the Cowboys and the Patriots in terms of franchise worth and revenue. The Packers are at #14 the last time I checked. (recently)
the Giants carry a lot of debt (55% of franchise worth), the Packers almost none, so the Packers are closer than they would otherwise be.
But the Giants make more off their TV contract that the Packers total revenue.
you only have about 20 days to pick up your shares of the lastest Packer stock offering....
