Tribune Article on Stohl

Nice to see Jared getting some pub. Always been a big fan of his and enjoy him earning the recognition he deserves. Hard to believe he's going to break the UP record for threes during his junior year...

Stohl is optimistic about himself and the team this season. He hopes to be named first-team all-conference. His goal for the Pilots is to make the NCAA Tournament. He thinks Portland also can make a run at winning the conference, which has been dominated by Gonzaga in recent years.

It would be a special year indeed if we landed 3 guards on the All-Conference first-team, though I feel like that wouldn't happen unless some guys like Johnson, Bell or Bouldin just FELL OFF. This year especially will be a guard-dominated year in the WCC. Nearly all the seniority is in the Guards this year, I think; almost every team has a guard capable of being first-team or at least honorable-mention (with the possible exceptions of USF and SCU).

I am ALL FOR Stohl's team aspirations! This is OUR year!
