Shannon MacMillan

Not only is she getting inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame, but she is an assistant coach at UCLA. It will be an interesting moment when the Pilots take the field against the former Pilot Hermann trophy winner, player of the year.

Congrats to her and Joe Etzel, who is also being inducted.

Just one year after Kasey Keller was selected to join the National Soccer Hall of Fame, another Pilot, Shannon MacMillan and former SCU Bronco, Brandi Chastain, were selected for the 2016 class.

Not quite sure how MacMillan (41) ended up as a "veteran" selection and Chastain (47) as the "player" selection....but it really doesn't matter.  

Congratulations to Shannon and Brandi, you were both wonderful players to watch.  As a matter of fact, you two really spoiled us with your quality WCC soccer....rarely have we seen that high a quality of soccer at Merlo Field since your graduation.

Maybe if she had put up Shannon Higgins-Cirovski type numbers....

It took Tif 20 years to get in the UP hall.

Shannon Mac Millan inducted into the WCC Hall of Honor today....

Shannon was recognized at halftime of BYU-LMU game. Too bad it couldn't be when more Pilot fans were present.

Hopefully, UP Soccer will make a special recognition at the first home match in the Fall.
