Spring games?
I have heard that there might be a few exhibiton games this spring for the women's soccer team. Does anyone know if that is true? If so, what kind of details do you know about them?

Re: Spring games?
Don't know about the women yet, and those might not be published anyway. The men play the Seattle Sounders February 20.

Thank you for the information on the games. Anymore details such as times, and if they are open to the public would be greatly appreciated. Will the graduating seniors play? Will Megan already be busy with her new team in Chicago?
So, when they play the U-23 team, who will Kelsey and Jessica play for?

Re: Spring games?
That April 18th game could be a gem. I hope the women respond well to the faster speed of playing against a national team. Of course, we have a fair number of players with national team experience...

Last year Kelsey played for UP because Val Henderson was available for the u-23s. I don't know for a fact but I would assume Jessica will play for UP as she is a newcomer to the U-23 pool.
I just hope the gals are up for the task this year after getting "exposed" last year according to Garret.

Re: Spring games?
Ideas then about tickets for the spring games when they might go on sale. I know I would like to get as many of my daughter's soccer team out for the U-23 game if nothing else.

You may be able to just show up and watch for free. I think that's how it's been in the past.

Re: Spring games?
U-23 game last year definitely got hyped and sold tickets, usually they start to sell as much as a month in advance.

Re: Spring games?
Nice -- April looks good! We can see how the local Pac-10 teams are coming along. The UW contest could be very competitive. Playing the U-23s will be a learning experience but still a match well worth seeing.

Now that Megan is gone who is going to take care of Yael Averback. My vote is Keelin.

Since Yael Graduated also, I think the issue is who is going to take care of Keelin?

Former Pilot Michelle Voiland, who was the UP keeper in the Milbrett era is their Assistant and Keeper coach, too.

Re: Spring games?
Against the U-23s it's more a question of how does a college team stop (or even slow down) their entire team for any length of time. That's an impressive talent pool for a coach to draw from. There will be great matchups and some mismatches all over the pitch. Most will favor the experienced U-23s. The Pilots continue to stretch themselves against high-quality opponents.

Re: Spring games?
Here are the dates and times I have so far for the Spring "friendlies":
April 4, 2:30 pm v Oregon State (info from OSU website)
April 11 v Washington, time TBA (info from UW website)
April 18, 7:00 pm v U23s (various sources)
April 25, 2:00 pm v Oregon (info from Oregon website)
Someone suggested the team was trying to schedule one more game for the end of this month.
Does anyone know if the team has scheduled a March game and, if so, against whom and when?
Does anyone know the time of the UW game?

Please let me know if they ever play the Mexican National Team again. That game is always a classic for me...
