UCLA 0 - Santa Clara 0
According to ESPNU, Santa Clara dug deep and put a chink in UCLA's armor tonight.
Final score 0-0 through both overtimes. Not much else. Apparently the game was on Fox, but I didn't see it. Gametracker was broken for the game.
Nice to see the WCC match up with the best in that Pac10.
Go Bronco's? nah, lets not get carried away.

Good to see WCC doing well against Pac 10 teams. Is it just me or has UCLA lost its offensive punch from last year. They are really solid defensively but they are not scoring many goals.

Re: UCLA 0 - Santa Clara 0
Their goal differential is 22-1, not totally lacking, but no great shakes, either.
the UCLA-Santa Clara box is interesting.
16-14 UCLA in shots, 4-2 in corners. But SOG went to Santa Clara 7-4.
Just goes to show that the geezer mantra, "never, ever, count Santa Clara out" still holds.

In the two other games between ranked teams, Duke tied with BC, and Florida State lost to Virginia 1:0.

Re: UCLA 0 - Santa Clara 0
Saw this game, UCLA came out strong but about 20 minutes in SCU picked up their game and played better. The game was very defensive, a good midfield battle. Both teams were weak attacking in the final third. Very good game by the SCU goal keeper.

Re: UCLA 0 - Santa Clara 0
I watched the game and there were more dangerous chances for UCLA than the boxscore gave credit for. Not sure how SOG is figured but McCall Zerboni made a couple of shots back-to-back that were deflected by SCU's keeper and then the goal post. I'm pretty sure the first shot was on target.

Ah crap... I'm not sure if that does or doesn't hurt now... I can't read. It's my cross to bear.

If we beat SCU, I think their tie with UCLA helps us
