Santa Clara
I am not positive, but it appears SCU has free webcasts of their home games like UP.

Re: Santa Clara
I have watched a few games this season from the SCU site.
It appears they have web broadcasts without audio.
Perfect.

Re: Santa Clara
2 off the crossbar by UP. Too bad they gave up that easy early goal. They looked frustrated with the ref in the second half but over came that to get the equalizer

I was not too impressed with SCU style of play. I remember when they used to play possession soccer, not so much anymore.

Re: Santa Clara
it moved us up two spots in the RPI, SCU stayed at 7.
Amanda saved our Bacon today., and she is comfortably the conference leader in scoring.
let's get a crowd out to welcome them back forSenior night.
Err... Taylor Brooke appreciation night!

Re: Santa Clara
This was a good game for the Pilots. to tie SC on the road is not too bad. We looked tired in the second OT but our defense held. The video feed was awful. I so appreciate the camera work of our Pilot crew. Sometimes it seemed like the camera was aimed at the SC goal even if there was no action at that end. Strange.

Re: Santa Clara
Who was playing center D with Lorielle at the end of the game - was that Bindl? I started watching at about 75'.
If they are going to broadcast without audio, they might pan over to the scoreboard every once in awhile for us latecomers. I could tell the Pilots goal was meaningful, I just had no idea what it meant.

Re: Santa Clara
the center back was Bindle, I thought she did a good Job. I think Garrett was trying not to trash everyone for Saturday. (SFU doesnt have a game tonight)
they did also have live stats. I just kept stats in one window and the video in another.
Did it rain down there? the field looked slippery.

Re: Santa Clara
There did seem to be some slips, Dees went down all on her own in the first half. A tie on the road against a ranked team, not what we hoped, but not a bad result.
It was surprising to see Sara B. in at D, but agree with Geezer, she did a good job.
I've seen better camera work from High School kids. I'll bet 20% of the time the ball was not even in the frame.

Re: Santa Clara
A couple things regarding the box score:
- The attendance was listed as 692. It's sad how little support there seems to be for SCU women's soccer.
- The UP and SCU websites have different box scores. UP's credits Michelle Cruz with the first Pilot goal; SCU's credits Amanda. The game descriptions on the respective websites likewise differ.

Re: Santa Clara
Yeah, I was stunned by the box score. It's actually a little above the last couple games of theirs I watched.
They used to get a couple thousand.
I was still fumbling with getting the video feed so i missed the first two goals
Anybody actually see the first few minutes of the game?

Re: Santa Clara
Portlandpilots twitter feed seems certain about the first UP score
@PortlandPilots: WSOC: Correction, it was Cruz who scored UP's 1st goal, Santa Clara was a little off on the stats tonight, our apologies @CruzMichelle20

Re: Santa Clara
The video was bad. I kept wanting to move the monitor to see to the left or right where the operator was not pointing the camera. It was like the person was watching the game with his/her eyes instead of with the camera.
I only got to watch about 10 minutes at the end of the 1st half and about 15 minute of the beginning of the 2nd half. I thought the Pilots were moving the ball well and were eventually going to score one or two more goals. While I was watching, they were doing a better job than SC except for SC's 2nd goal. What are the chances of the Pilots getting a home match in the NCAAs?

For the first round a near lock. They need a national seed to get the second/third round weekend, and that's going to be difficult.

Since Cruz tweeted at the Pilots and they corrected it I'll take her word for it:
Again, I am not Frisbie

Re: Santa Clara
Best team in MLS this season. Golden boot winner (Chris Wondolowski). Trashiest player in MLS (Steven Lenhart, move over Rafa Marquez). Biggest joke of a supporters group in the league (made two banners clowning the Timbers Army instead of supporting their own team).Dan No Yell wrote:Who are the Earthquakes?

But, but, but... It's too easy and just so much fun!!!
All kidding aside, SJ doesn't deserve the Quakes, they are way too good of a team to get the kind of support they get. Revs fans, now they get exactly what they deserve.
