Stephanie Cox Makes the Olympic Team!

I know this was reported in the other thread, but I figured it deserved its own since it's such exciting news. There is a nice article in today's Oregonian, as well as releases from UP and from USSoccer:

Just reading her quotes from the article, it sounds like she is on cloud nine, and deservedly so:

"I'm so excited," Cox said. "It's definitely a dream come true."

...

"To know that I'm on the team, and I can really start dreaming about that, envisioning what that's going to be like with the opening ceremonies, is amazing," she said. "I think it's going to take a while for it to sink in that that's actually going to be happening soon."
Cox has played on age-group national teams throughout of her career, but Beijing could be just the start of her rise, Smith said.
"We still haven't seen the best Stephanie Lopez," he said. "She still has tons of room to grow. Each year she just keeps getting better."
