Well, they couldn't shut her down as she scored 24 today, and the Pilots fall 67-64.  

It was another one of those one-possession games with 30 seconds left, but UP just couldn't get it done this time. Nothing really stood out why the Pilots lost except for a lack of balanced scoring led by Fowler's 22 before fouling out.  

Maddie graduates in May, and it is hard to say if she will return for her free year, but the addition of Lucie Cochran and Emma Strelein, and the growth of Emme Shearer should go a long way towards taking the scoring burden off Alex and Haylee next season.

I can't wait for the 2021-22 season to begin in eight months!!

I watched the last quarter, though meant to watch the entire game. Pilots look competitive and ready to make a run next year.

Kind of a tough game to watch.  Portland was playing catch-up most of the time.  Gave up too many boards, had too many turnovers, and didn't get much help from the bench.   They were in a good place to win with a minute left, but blew it.  Still, it's a team with lots of promise and they're fun to watch much of the time.
