Local PDX Watch Party 3/9 MBB Semifinal

I have seen a number of events that the U is putting together in Vegas, but was there any event happening in Portland for those who didn't make the trip to Vegas?  Game is at 8:30 PM Monday night on ESPN2.  I'm down with meeting up with some fellow Pilot fans to watch the game.

I finally went to one of these Buffalo Wild Wings "watch parties" earlier in the year. Turns out that "watch party" means that they will turn one of the TVs to the Pilots game when specifically asked to do so by a customer. (A few minutes after I'd asked for the Pilots game to be put on, the server returned and said, "You wanted to watch the Oregon game, right?") And no sound from the Pilots game at the "Pilots watch party," because it was more important to have the sound on from the Blazers pre-game show.

It would be SO MUCH better if they got Tom's Pizza or another local North Portland sports bar to host these things, and make it into an actual party!

I've gone to bww a few times and there is normally at least a table or two of pilot fans.

Right now I'm thinking Tom's because it's much closer to my house.

There will be a much bigger presence at BWW for the BYU game - there will be some UP staff there with giveaways and stuff like that. They are trying to promote it pretty hard, so it should have a bigger crowd than usual, even on a Monday night.

I won't be there, alas - catching a flight to Vegas tomorrow morning - but consider throwing the UP marketing folks a bone and going to BWW. I believe they will even put a pitcher or two on UP's tab.

Just guessing, but there may be t-shirts at BWW. Down here is Vegas we all got matching blazers with purple cravats.

That almost swayed me, but I'm confirmed for Tom's. Hopefully both locations will be full of Pilots!
