Useless?
If you want a soft scarf, you had better know the difference between a llama and a vicuña.

That's neither chicha ni limonada. You would spit, too, if somebody put a couple hundred pounds on your back without asking.
( I have now fulfilled the PN requirement on mentioning beer)

Re: Michelle French to Coach Sounders Women
This article today in SoccerAmerica online:
[W-LEAGUE] The way things are going the U.S, women's national team should think of setting up shop in Seattle. Megan Rapinoe, one of the stars of the 2011 U.S. Women's World Cup team, and Stephanie Cox, a defender with 81 caps, have signed with the W-League's Sounders Women. Previously signed were Hope Solo, Alex Morgan and Sydney Leroux.
Cox and Rapinoe both played at the University of Portland, as did Sounders Women coach Michelle French.
“Megan is one of the most entertaining players in the game today,” said Sounders Women general manager Amy Carnell. “A difference maker in the 2011 World Cup, Megan plays with a level of flair and passion that is rarely seen. Watching Megan you learn to expect the unexpected, raw emotion and pure guts to the final whistle is what you get.”
Cox spent the last three club seasons playing in WPS, first for the Los Angeles Sol, then after it folded for the Boston Breakers. Like Rapinoe, Cox grew up in Northern California. She now lives in Gig Harbor, near Seattle.
"I am so excited to be a part of the Sounders program, " said Cox. "I loved playing collegiately in the Northwest and am excited to continue my professional career here as well."
Carnell admits the Sounders Women have a lot to prove.
“Early on," she said, "we told fans this would be a special season for Sounders women’s soccer, but speaking boldly, this season is about much more. As the future of women’s soccer hangs in the balance we’ve got a lot at stake, and everything to prove. We have the opportunity to set the bar for Women’s Soccer in this country and show that Seattle is a place where a 10 year old girl can dream, where women’s sport is valued, and where a community with such passion for the game can actually change it.”

Re: Michelle French to Coach Sounders Women
I finally got an answer from Keelin...it's because she's been very busy...NOT because she doesn't appreciate her fans...she's a class act.
Right now I am signed on to play with Sounders. Will let u know if anything changes. Have a good day.
This was the majority of her answer.

Item from Meet Your Sounders Women:
Entire article and picture of Frenchie at:http://www.sounderatheart.com/2012/4/9/2935417/sounders-women-rosterAnother midfielder to watch is Keelin Winters. Keelin (pronounced KEE-lin), was talked into playing for the Sounders Women by none other than Alex (@alexmorgan13) Morgan. They were teammates on the USA U-23 team. The 5’9" Winters graduated from the University of Portland, and went on the play for the WPS Boston Breakers. She is a defensive midfielder, but she also knows how to score. She was nominated as the 2011 WPS rookie of the year.

Re: Michelle French to Coach Sounders Women
I'm not so sure about joining the ECS women's auxiliary, I'm more of a Timber's fan, you see, and it seems like me joining the YWCA.
But they show no gender restriction to joining, and if it gets a discount on the tickets, I figure what the heck.
For those times when a trip North is to much (for me, the next month) the Sounderswomen's website promises live webcasts of their home games, including tonight. They have a "click here" option up now.

The webcast starts at 7:00. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30

2-0 Sounders at the half. The stream is only of fair quality. Stephanie has been pretty prominent with lots of action, some very nice crosses. I suppose it would be possible for their kits to be uglier, but I just can't picture it. SPU is playing pretty well, the Pilots game with them this Saturday should be interesting.

Are they wearing the men's version with the silver sports bras, I mean, Techfit straps?
Last year's "Electricity" third kit will not be surpassed for some time.

Re: Michelle French to Coach Sounders Women
The Sounders play U-Dub at the Starfire complex Friday night at 7:30.
The game is sold out at over 5K with a few standing room tickets going on sale two hours before game time, but you can see a video feed on Sounderswomen.com Or on the Husky website.
Here's another chance to see some Pilot women and other NW players we have watched over the years, as well as some pretty good young players.
