SMC vs. WSU on ESPN2 at 8 pm tonight...3/17/09.

For those not going out for St. Patty's day, this might be a good game in the NIT...

I'm watching. Looks like Patty's doing pretty well so far.

Patty looks like he's back, but look when he comes back in the second. The last closeup looked like the hand is swelling up a bit.

a gotta hand it to him....17 point from everywhere.

I didn't see any swelling of the hand. He's not shielding it from blows like he did in the WCC tourney against Gonzaga. This is his best game since the injury...

Not to get ahead of things, but, the SMC vs. Davidson matchup with Mills vs. Curry would be something else if that one happens...

So, we want SMC to win, to prove our conference is stronger than given credit. That creates a major quandary in the NCAA; I want the conference to be strong, but not the Zags.

Question: when the Zags win, does it provide any reflected credit to the rest of the WCC, or are they a black hole sucking all the light into their orbit and leaving the rest of us in the dark?

Final score: SMC 68, WSU 57. Great win for the Gaels.... 27 pts for Mills!

When Gonzaga wins it does absolutely nothing for the WCC, aside from maybe helping our RPIs. In fact, throughout the tournament you'll hear pundits talking about the Zags winning tourney games in spite of their soft conference schedule. Until someone else wins the regular season and tournament titles - especially the regular season title - I don't think the WCC will be getting any respect on a national level.

Oh,Rob's Jacket you Portland fan's are just jealous. If we were not in such a weak conference are RPI would be better. After all we were down by 25 pt.s to Memphis in the 2nd half. Two of our (because I have all the inside info. ,I hang out with Matt,Jeremey, and Josh) loss's just recently turned out to be good one's. Thankfully, we helped out Portland State and Utah,wow are they lucky to just have played us. Now that I think the loss to Arizona was probably the whole reason Arizona made the NCAA's.

You guys will see when we whip the Zip's all 100+ miles from ZagNation Central!!!

By the way,if you were good friends like I am with AMMO, you would think he's a good guy too.He's also a pretty darn fine dresser too.
