San Diego is a 14 seed and plays #3 California in Stanford on Saturday. Apparently UConn (32-1) is the team to beat this year (again).

Gonzaga (24-Cool missed out and was listed as one of the bubble teams on the ESPN selection show. The Big East and Big 12 got 8 bids each, and the SEC has 6 teams in. I think that Big East and SEC schools might be stepping up their programs in order to challenge UConn and Tennessee, respectively, resulting in so many of those schools being selected.
