Re: 3 for the WCC!
Congrats to our WCC bretheren!
WCC Men's Tourney Games:
#7 GU vs. #10 Davidson, Friday, Raleigh, NC.
#10 SMC vs. #7 Miami, Friday, Little Rock, Arkansas.
#13 USD vs. #4 UConn, Friday, Tampa, FL.
I like SMC vs. Miami. Davidson is a tought draw for the Zags--2 mid majors that I would have liked to see advance... and Davidson is in the midst of a 22 game win streak! USD could give UConn a game...
GO WCC!

The Big Question
The WCC tournament teams share the proceeds of the tournament kitty with the rest of the conference.
I wonder if Larry Williams has figured out how he's going to spend UP's share?

Maybe he'll buy some time on a radio station with a signal you can hear in the parking lot after a game.

Ha! Agreed. I do understand why they went to the Money Station, but it was definitely annoying to not be able to listen to the coach's or player's interviews after the games... I always liked to do that.

Highly annoying, and ridiculous.
Hopefully a better station next year? What happened to KPAM?
I really dont think The Money Station and its pathetically wimpy signal is the name/brand we want to put on Pilot Hoops...

They decided to cover OSU basketball. That must have been fun during the conference season...

Basketball they live with, but they wanted the football, plus they get to talk about OS(U) baseball, and the college world series.
I realize UP is low visibility on the PDX media scene, but we need a better station. I did not even try to listen to away games.

I feel you on that. I just listened to them at home off the internet. But it would have sucked if I was away from a computer during a game time.
It's a tough call, since having it on the radio in theory helps spread your games to a wider audience, but with the internet becoming more and more "acceptable" as a means of transmitting audio and video and with iPhones and things like that making live streams available everywhere, is it really worth it to pay to get games on the radio? I don't know. It's a tough call.
Now, if we start winning games and stations come to us with offers to air our games, that's another story!
