Volleyball

It is obvious that Volleyball does not get much interest or attention on PilotNation, perhaps because it has been quite a while since they have had a winning team/season, but I thought it was noteworthy the Pilots finished the 2023 season on a high note as the team rallied from a two sets deficit to secure a comeback 3-2 victory (24-26, 18-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-12) against the Gonzaga Bulldogs last night on the road.

The conference victory improved Portland's record to 9-19 overall and 4-12 in WCC action, while dropping GU to 0-15 in WCC play and 3-23 overall, with one game left to be played (@USD). It was the second time UP has beaten GU this season, the other UP regular season victories were over SCU and USF.

And now that the 2023 indoor season is over, bring on beach volleyball starting in March!!
