With virtually no change in the roster from last season, it is going to depend upon one more year of maturity, leadership, better defense, and a new coaching style to rise higher than 6th or 7th.

The loss of Bryce, who could do so many things and fill so many rolls on and off the court, will be deeply felt, but the addition of Chier just before WCC play begins will help.

Coach Knudson knows that it is going to take a turnaround performance from last year by the frontline if the Pilots are to avoid a "play-in" game in Las Vegas, and he has vowed do everything he can to make Barreno, Hartwich, and Russell better.

But really, is there an easier conference in the land to write a summer preview for?

1/2 - Gonzaga or SMC, pick 'em
3 - BYU
4/5 - Anyone with a head coach that's been there more than one year
6/7/8/9/10 - Everyone else, pick an order
