So. Illinois is 5-1 on the season, against a pretty good schedule.  They're a member of the MVC.  Nickname is the Salukis, which is a dog breed from Egypt, so I learned something today.  they adopted the Salukis mascot when they tired of the original name, Maroons.  Probably due to this:

Pilots lose 80-79.  They trailed most of the game, but had the ball with 16 seconds left and a chance to win. The shot failed.  

Pilots played pretty well, and got their shooting touch back from the field.  But 15 of 25 (60%) at the FT line really hurts in a one point loss.
