Spain leaves UEFA
Or at least that's what they said they would do if UEFA voted in Gibraltar as a member. Spain still claims Gibraltar is Spanish territory. That means no Real Madrid or Barça in the champions league next year.
UEFA did that yesterday so Gibraltar is the 54th member and enabling Gibraltar to play in all UEFA competitions.
This really isn't about Gibraltar, of course, but about what Spain's autonomous regions would do with this precedent set.
If Catalonia forms it's own team, for instance, say goodbye to Spanish dominance in the sport.
