It's the only reason I can see that he was left off Spain's roster for June 4.

So maybe he'll be resting.

Well, two of them are in the Final. The third...ah...is not available for Barca just yet...

Puyol has been sitting out a bunch of games the last month or so, the Champs League final is probably a bit more worthy of risking re-injury than a friendly...

They got Abidal back for the game too (he had surgery to remove pancreatic growths a month and a half ago) so needing Puyol back was a little less urgent, but i strongly doubt he will play in the friendly.
