More Cowbell v2.1
Anyone else notice the new cowbell clackers seemed a little anemic for the task of pealing the Pilot goals? the bent wire effort just doesn't cut it.
Cheer up, bunkie, there's an easy cure to what ails them.
Go to your TruValue hardware store and buy a 1/4" -20 Hardware nut (going rate 5ยข).
bend the wire, slip on the nut, and crimp the wire shut. it will sound better if the nut is loose on the wire.
Now you can sound like Quasimodo when we beat Notre Dame in the Playoffs.

Re: More Cowbell v2.1
oooooo, our first Pilot Nation DIY project!
My only alteration I might make is painting the nut the corresponding purple/white.... But a small detail obviously...
So when do we get to play the University of Shanghai or Beijing U?? I'd really like to see a Geezer DIY UP gong....

One person at the Texas A&M match might not like your solution. Did you see the T-shirt with the "Less Cowbells" on it? This person came prepared with their message.

I love it too. "Fewer cowbells" would have been even better, but he/she may have been from Texas, which would explain it.

"Less cowbells, y'all" would be the Texas model.

That's a Texas A&M slogan, referring I believe to the University of Texas Longhorns. I think it's referring to the horns but ....
