And what a way to close it out. It was always going to be a memorable night, but the sunshine goal with a North End full of sunflowers elevated it to another level entirely.
This is a night that will go down in Timbers history. From now on we will be telling new Timbers fans about "the sunflower goal" the way old school TA talk about the original sunshine goal, or in the same way Pilot fans talk about the day Clive finally won the College Cup.
