Re: Pilots at NCAA XC 2009
Matty, I think that is a pretty safe thing to say. Knowing Coach Conner and knowing the talent we have in our freshman class (and 'Chumba as the sophomore), we are primed to be dangerous for the next few years and hopefully beyond. When you add recruits, current redshirts and improvement from guys who might not be currently contributing... we've got a heck of a team to look forward to.
Congrats to the Pilots!

Thanks for the recaps, etc...

By the way, lots of thanks to moderatiors/administrators for combining X-Country and baseball (Mattywizz's idea). I like it. Very cool.

So for a young team those aren't too shabby of results. I don't know what Connor has for runners redshirting this year or in terms of recruits...and I hate saying this because of what the basketball team has done to me time and time again...but just wait till next year.
Yeah, I think we'll be better off next year as well. Dunbar, Osoro, and Chumba are all back. I think it's fine to take glass half full approach. Hopefully, we can deliver a little better under pressure once these guys get more time to train together to work as a team. Why can't they run these meets in the snow in Alaska for Christ's sake? Hahaha...

I'm betting a couple of those frosh in front of them are RS frosh. Maybe I'll look it up if I have time.mattywizz wrote:Osoro and Dunbar were 4th and 5th among frosh.

Even though it's a mild letdown, it's our sixth top-20 finish this decade. Not too shabby.
And, yes, just wait until next year.
