Today's interesting games
10/23/09
Stanford at WSU- If any Pac10 team has a chance to put a ding in Stanford's record it's WSU. tough, physical, and have ther own All American scorer.
The game is in Pullman, where there it will be 45-38 with an 80% chance of rain. Those kids from Palo Alto are not going to be happy. I'l bet the grass is 8" long, too.
Oregon at UCLA - can Oregon win a PAC10 game?
OSU at USC - The Beav's are better -can they match up?
CAL at UW - which team is for real? same weather issues as the WSU game
PSU v Idaho State- the Big sky is actually getting interesting.
San Diego v LMU - we get a hint of what Senior day might be like.
Santa Clara v Pepp- 'nuf said
Tamu v Colorado - RPI
Col Col v Rice - RPI
SMU v UCF- No matter how this game goes, it will help our relative RPI with UCF

Re: Today's interesting games
So i'm curious as to what we want to see happen for our best interest, Do we want to see OSU drop a few games to ensure a non-seed? They just dropped a goal against USC early 15th minute.

I think we want them to win. They are part of our RPI.
USC isn't.
I don't think they are in the running for a seed.

Stanford-WSU are 0-0 at the half. The Cougs appear to be playing 'em tough. Corners are 1-1. Shots on goal are 3-2 Stanford.

I agree with the Geez on this, we want OSU to win against the teams the Pilots haven't played. The same with Oregon, Washington, and Washington State. Assuming that at least three out of the four of them get into the Tournament, I don't see all three getting seeds (much less the fourth if it makes it in).
Re: Today's interesting games
Washington state score against Stanford in the 53rd minute, 1-0.
Gonzaga leads San Francisco 2-0, also in the early 50 minutes.

Re: Today's interesting games
Oregon State still tied with USC at 76 minutes. It looks from the stats like OSU has a very slight edge in the play.
San Francisco scored a goal at Gonzaga, so it's the Zags 2, SF 1. The stats look like the game is very even, which doesn't bode well for the Dons on Sunday.

Re: Today's interesting games
87 minute mark, foul on USC. Their 15th of the game. Why am I surprised USC is fouling a lot on their home field?
Re: Today's interesting games
Stanford has been peppering their keeper. She has five saves in the 82-84th minutes.irish78 wrote:Cougs hanging in there in the 82nd minute 1-0.

Re: Today's interesting games
But, final score, Oregon State 2, USC 1. Linus Rhode and his women are having a great season. Pac 10 coach of the year? Or does that go to Ratliffe at Stanford?

If you think of it in terms of how far the team has come up in a year, it's gotta be Linus.

Darn, so near yet so far. But, no question Stanford can be beaten. Let's see what the Huskies can do on Sunday!

Did TAMU get hit with the injury bug? They have the talent, just not the results.
