Then he has Stanford followed by a battle for 4th between Notre Dame and UCLA.

Interesting reading and projections from Mister TopDrawer. It is noted that in his number-of-bids-by-conference he has omitted the WCC as one of those with THREE.

That said, we should look at the season game-by-game rather than counting up all the wins here in early August.

Nah! I'm in favor of just getting the trophy now. That way we can just treat the season as a victory tour like the WNT does. Are you on the bandwagon or not?





I'm not sure I'm with Topdrawer on the whole tournament field. I think SCU will be higher than he has them unless they go into another injury meltdown season, and I just don't see how USD won't be top 40, which will pretty much guarantee a bid. Last year on the men's side he had NO WCC team in the tournament for several weeks. Pretty curious since we get a guaranteed bid.

<edit> either he changed it or I missed it first time around, but he has both USD and SCU in the field.

I've been working on my off side. Don't want to be too predictable. So far it's working out well, but you never really know until game day. If I was coach McGuire, I'd be looking into getting pith helmets.

The Pilots have gained R-E-S-P-E-C-T. This national ranking is huge. They also have a target on their backs. Now comes the real test: earning the No. 1 status on the field and keeping it game by game. One awesome season is coming right up!
