Thanks for the link... Megan is going to be sorely missed next year, but I think that Keelin and Sophie are ready to move into that vocal leader role.

MUST read article on Megan. (If you are a big Megan fan like most of us).

She is peaking apparently both mentally and physically at exactly the right time. One great superstar, (Christine, for an obvious example), can't do it alone. But Megan is far from alone. Her leadership and inspiration can take this team to heights that it couldn't reach without her.

So from now on, nothing is acceptable except the big trophy in Cary, N. Carolina. Yeah, I'm putting my emotions out there to be destroyed, but you can't love a team and NOT put yourself out there.

So, yeah, GO PILOTS!! NO SHOTS, NO GOALS!! GREAT "D" FROM ALL TEN FIELD PLAYERS, INCLUDING ATTACKERS!! STAY TOGETHER AND BE PATIENT!!

I can appreciate Charney's comment about feeling intimidated when playing against Megan in practice. I woudn't want to try to dribble past her or, on defense, to try to close her out. She is simply a force to be reckoned with. If Charney feels intimidated, then I'm guessing opposing players feel the same way or more so.

I had a paper, and when my mom say the article, she couldn't 2 minutes for me to finish the sports page to read it, she snatched the cover from me and later the continuation page.

Mom the Pilots fan!

Hey, does anyone recall Megan making a statement to the effect "We don't play to win, we play to punish people!"? I seem to remember her saying something like that early in her career on the bluff...pre knee injury. I tried to find the quote using Google but wasn't successful.
