Updated Tournament Bracket

Not too too many surprises... with one game still to come (UCLA and USD - postponed to tomorrow because of the fires in LA), only four seeded teams did not advance to the Sweet 16: Missouri (4), Oklahoma State (4), Wake Forest (3), and Colorado (4). Shocking... three Big 12 seeded teams didn't advance to the third round. When, oh when, will the NCAA realize that Big 12 soccer is so dang overrated and the teams NEVER advance. Texas A&M (3) did advance, but we'll see how they do against Florida.
Anyway, interesting to note... both Portland and Stanford will be playing unseeded opponents in the next round. James Madison for UP and Rutgers for Stanford. Rutgers might give them a tough game... they definitely earned their way to the Sweet 16 knocking of Penn State (who many thought deserved a seed). They also beat Oklahoma State in PKs. So I guess gooooooooo Scarlet Knights!
Other interesting results... USC beat BYU in PKs to advance to the third round where they will presumable face UCLA. Notre Dame squeeked past Michigan State 1-0.
As for James Madison, they were tied 0-0 with Wake Forest until the 83rd minute when they scored the game-winner

Re: Updated Tournament Bracket
Big 12 and SEC both look overrated. Only one team from the two conferences together will make the final 8, 2 in the final 16 (and playing each others), yet they had 10 teams and 5 seeds between them (unless I counted wrong).

Re: Updated Tournament Bracket
This just in from so cal the fires around Anaheim are still burning. If USD wanted to come, there are other ways to get to Westwood than through Anaheim. We get fires every year and every year people act surprised. Beats me.

The Scarley Knights gave the Pilots a tough game in the rain last month. Let's hope that the pull off an upset against the Cardinal. Go Rutgers!!!!!

Re: Updated Tournament Bracket
I am with you on the upset against the Cardinal. There is just so much arrogance out that school. Throw them on the fire along with UCLA for that matter. Oh year don't forget to through USC in the middle.
