Texas 'keeper blog Empty Texas 'keeper blog

Post by SoreKnees Sat Nov 15, 2008 2:29 pm

The Texas goalkeeper Dianna Pfenninger has a blog (only a Thursday entry so far) on the UT soccer Web site at:

http://texassports.com/sports/w-soccer/spec-rel/111308aaa.html

She says some nice things about Portland, their arrival and accommodations. There is also a photo gallery with lots of beautiful orange (the leaves on the trees) and ugly orange (the Longhorn warmups).

I was hoping maybe there would be an update today, but not so far.

Apparently she likes the wizard of OZ, too.

I wish you guys could be here with us, but know that we'll do our best to come back with two wins and the possibility to play at home. After all, there's no place like home!

I just hope her team doesn't wake in Kansas after she clicks the Ruby Slippers together.

That's nice- How wonderful for the teams to come to Portland. What an exciting time for the college soccer teams to play at Merlo.

Thank goodness we were "rewarded" by the NCAA to have the matches here in soccer city USA.

Sounds like the Texas players are enjoying all of the greatness that is Portland. Good for them.

And may they enjoy a full meal tonight. Rumors have it that the Pilots are scheduled to kill the fatted "calf" tomorrow afternoon in celebration!

(Not meant to be mean Longhorns. I am really happy you are enjoying your stay here. I expect a close and exciting match tomorrow afternoon. May the best team come away the victors!) Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Great to see Portland get some exposure. Maybe the powers that be will realize how great it is and make it a go to venue in the future. I am not surprised she is amazed how beautiful it is. In Texas this time of year all you get is the cold and wind and non of the beauty or culture.

If the Pilots bring their A game tommorow she will get another treat. Pilot soccer the way the game should be played. I'll bet more than one player will wish they had played for Portland instead.
