That was a tough tough loss last night. Pardon my ignorance but is Seattle U D1? I guess I can look it up...I'm just a little lazy tonight to do the homework

If the Seattle men are doing the same as the women, yes, they are playing at D1 this year. This is their first year. There has been some speculation that some day, they might become and additional WCC team.

Yes. It looks like SU are D1 now. This is the first year back to D1 from D2 after a 28 year haitus. I heard it was coming...but didn't know they had already implemented it.

Schools converting to D1 can fast track two programs. those can become fully eligible for tournament play in 3 years, as as opposed to I think 6 years. Seattle picked men's and Women's soccer (they almost picked Basketball as the men's choice)

They will be eligible for the tournament in 2010. The way they are going, both will be there.
So, in 2010, we'll have another tournament hosting partner.
