Halley Kriminski Named WCC POY

Kind of amazing that the three Pilots who have won this award are Foxhoven, Jackman, and Kriminski. If we would have been taking bets at the beginning of the season, what kind of odds would a parlay on that trio have been getting? Pretty impressive, I guess.

Congrats to Halley. I think the best thing about this is that it shows the Pilots can get things done no matter who's out there. this is a wonderfully talented group.

Those who predicted gloom and doom when the Amigas are gone may be pleasantly surprised.

Nobody on this board has predicted gloom and doom I dont think. Its mostly just been who and where? And you are right Geezer I am pleasantly surprised by Halley. I didn't know much about her as a player in Idaho but I did read her press 17 goals in her senior season with speed to boot. That is a gem indeed.

We've barely begun to see what Kreminski can do, given her early injury and few home appearances to date. What we have seen: strength, power, vertical leap for headers, and a coach willing to trust her with the game on the line. It's too simplistic to say she's Rachael Rapinoe plus five inches in height, but there is more than a passing resemblance. More good news for UP fans.

"Rachael Rapinoe plus five inches in height" now that would make a difference PTA (post three amigas) or (playoff time action).

If Sara Jackman or Hallie K could really step up that would be a big deal. As would Kendra being healthy.

Kelsey: Jessica, Michelle, Kassi (or Korie), Megan: Charney, Sophie, Megan, Kendra?: Danielle, Hallie?

Let's see what Halley can do in the 7 remaining conf matches. If she plays like we think she is capable of playing, and can make a major impact with her 5'9" size and great athletic, speed and air skills, (all documented in high school and club soccer), maybe we can move Sophie to hold mid and really start to make some noise.

I have a feeling Megan R. is about to raise the level of her game to unseen heights!
