Americas cup practice races in NZ are being broadcast on NBCSN and FUBO. The races are pretty spectacular, with the foil boats hitting 44 knots (51 mph) in 13 knot winds on a small course and rounding marks like dirt track racing.
Highly entertaining. Not the racing I did as a kid.
Best boats look to be the USA and NZ boats, with the Italian boat struggling a bit and the UK boat having trouble getting its foils working. The USA boat is fastest, with the NZ boat better rounding marks.
It’s still early, with the finals three months off.
