University of Portland Pilots east

Post by saebo98661 on Tue Mar 29, 2011 7:50 am

This is some cool information that I ran across this morning.

Defender Elli Reed has agreed to terms to join the Breakers after being released by the WNY Flash. Reed played at the University of Portland with Breakers midfielder/defender Keelin Winters. The two also played for Coach DiCicco on the 2008 Women's World Cup championship team.

Too bad the WPS does not have a West Coast team where we could go and watch Boston play when they came to town. It would be fun to cheer on Elli, Keelin, Kelsey and Stephanie Cox!

The WPS needs all of the support it can get. Organizing an east coast alumni club event around a Breakers game is a good idea.

Kelsey D, Elli R and Keelin W officially survived the latest Boston Breaker's roster cuts. It should be a good opportunity for all of them to get playing time. Good luck to all of them.

Not to mention Kristen Moore's younger sister Kasey!

Almost enough players in the league to field a whole team.

I wonder if Michelle E. Will latch on with someone.
