This was all a matter of "when" rather than "if" but here's the blurb to go along with the announcement:

Tiffeny Milbrett, University of Portland, Women's Soccer, 1990-1992, 1994
Tiffeny Milbrett attended the University of Portland from 1990 to 1995 and left the school with various awards and NCAA records. In 1990, she was named Soccer America's Freshman Soccer Player of the Year, and in 1991, she led her team with 21 goals and six assists.

Milbrett also garnered WCC Offensive Player of the Year honors in 1992 and 1994, and was a three time NSCAA All-American as well as a three-time finalist for the Hermann Trophy and Missouri Athletic Club Award awarded to the top player in the nation. Milbrett was her university's all-time leader in goals with 103, and assists with 40. She placed second in NCAA career goals with 103, and tied for fourth in career points with 246. She was also named to Soccer America's College Team of the Decade for the 1990s.

Milbrett also had a heralded international career that saw her win both Olympic and World Cup Championships. In 1995, she was a member of the team that finished third at the World Cup in Sweden, and in 1996, was a starter for the team that won the 1996 Olympic Gold in Atlanta, scoring the game-winning goal against China in the final. In 1998, Milbrett was a member of the team that won the gold medal at the Goodwill Games, and in 1999, Milbrett became the goal leader on the USA team that won the World Cup and take home Silver in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.

In 2001, Milbrett became a founding member of the New York Power in the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) where she also became the league's MVP as well as Offensive Player of the Year. In March 2009, Milbrett was selected to play with FC Gold Pride of the new Women's Professional Soccer and began play in April 2009.

Well I suppose if she keeps being so selfish by still playing we can't wait the 3 years before she can go in the room at Chiles. I mean come on Tiff, get it together... geek

That reminds me...It's the "Hall of Fame Room," so it's logical to put the plaques there, but how many fans actually go in there or pay attention to the walls? Couldn't there be another place to at least list the names?

Yeah, I've always wondered if that kind of hole in the wall room was the best way to honor Pilots of yore...

I don't know how to spell the Donald Duck quack sputter.

UP could induct her if they wanted. they inducted Benedetti in the first year of the HOF (94) and he was a player for the Colorado Foxes that year. He played for the Timbers until 2005.

And Shannon? she's been retired since about 2002-3 they should have inducted her in 2005.

When are the 2002 - 2005 national championship teams going to get in? Rant

Don't get ahead of yourself, I'm sure there is a more deserving team handball squad from the 70s....

Yeah!!!! Well, obviously with my pic, you guys know I'm a fan. The 1996 Olympics were really epic if you were a UP women's soccer fan with her contributions to the team and MacMillan as well. She's truly one of the pioneers of the women's program, leading us to our first final 4. Great player, great person.

Agreed. She'll always be a favorite player for me as a classmate, and the first time we were televised as a women's program in the Final 4 she really had a great day. As Clive used to say, players like Tiff and MacMillan chose to go to UP when it wasn't a cool thing to do as a soccer player yet. They were our program changers. I'll never forget her streaking runs in those Final 4s.

Here's a great interview that I just found:
