Viewing options this weekend

Post by A_Fan on Wed Oct 20, 2010 7:47 pm

Any suggestions of viewing venues for those of us who do not have Fox Soccer Channel or ESPNU?

A great question!

There is a new soccer-specific bar that opened on SE 18th and Hawthorne called 4-4-2. It used to be the home of a delightful little shop called a Taste of Europe, and I believe 4-4-2 is owned by the same guy. He's super nice and I know would appreciate the business.

Anyway, I went to their website and they have the San Diego/UP game specifically listed as one they are showing, and I assume they will probably have the Santa Clara/UP game too. Check it out here:

What do people say... Friday night excursion?

Cheers!

You can also watch LIVE via video @ usdtoreros.com. I watched the men play game awhile back. It is better than nothing and you don't need to leave home. Free is a very good price.
Hey, honey bring me another beer.

Thanks, it sounds like a good idea. Did they show soccer games under their former name? I think I may have watched a UP game there last year if it is the same place.

It was Costello's. http://www.costellostravelcaffe.com/

Ask them about it; they'll probably show it again.

Reminder to anyone watching at home: the PN Chatbox will be open during the game...
