I'd still prefer a push for technology similar to what they use for Wimbeldon and whatnot... but it's a step... And I'm sure FIFA is miffed UEFA is taking the bold step, which makes me laugh

The board also said the issue of goal-line technology would be discussed at a meeting in October.

Didn't we hear this about this meeting?

Here's some pretty interesting reading from a refree list serve that was pointed out on BS today. It's some refs commenting on a talk from Peter Mikkelson, a retired FIFA ref and a member of the FIFA supervisory committee for referees during the World Cup.

Mikkelsen says that refs feel they got 96% of the goals decisions right. There were 145 goals scored, so that means they got around 6 wrong. He admits the Lampard score England got robbed of against Germany was one, and that the USA goal from Maurice Edu was wrongly called back. (Koulibali just had a brain fart by his own admission)

Any guess on the other 4?
