Of course we want the USA Ghana, and it's no secret I have Argentina ties.

The best game, however, I think will be Argentina Chile this round.

Can't pick heritage, the Swiss lost, and the Irish got screwed. How about the "hate each other" factor? I picked Germany-England, but where does Spain-Portugal land on that scale?

Spain-Portugal rivalry descends from phoenecian, roman, or at least the time of the Vandals.

But the two countries are so intertwined it's hard for them to hate each other. They will fight like crazy during the game, then kiss each other when they trade shirts. It's kind of like a Portland/ Vancouver rivalry.

Somehow, I don't think that will ever happen with England-Germany,England-Argentina, England-USA, or England-anybody. England's game with Germany isn't all that special for that reason.

Chile and Brasil have had some battles in Soccer, and usually Brasil dominates,, but Chile has a good team this year, and I think they smell Blood in the water. I think that game will be a real match.

And we should be interested, because if they don't beat Brasil and we get that far, we'll be up against them.

Such is what dreams are made of.

Hmmm... Well, obviously I want Cherondolo and the USA to keep winning, but, I'm not sure how much further we can go...

Mexico vs. Argentina is the most intruiging game for me though. I like the matchup of Rafa, Giovani, and Blanco vs. Messi, Telez. Plus with my girlfriend being from Morelia, MX and the possibilities of continuing carne asada parties throughout the Summer, I do have some motives...

I do think the Sunday game could be a real gem. Germany and England have great teams, but, their styles of play aren't as appealing to me...
