UP ended up #4 behind UNC, Stanford, and UCLA.

Notre Dame was #5, then FSU, and BC.

I believe the NSCAA has an agreement with the NCAA that its top four in the end-of-season poll always will be the College Cup participants. That's how they've done it as far back as I can remember. Sort of chicken?

Really? I had no idea they would do that.

What did you come up with?

I'm working on it "as we blog." It will take a while, because the first thing I'll do once I have some numbers is vet the NCAA's data to see if they have all the right game results and locations -- and to see if I do, too. Once I've done that, if the NCAA and I are in synch on the data, I'll post a full RPI report.
