I havent seen Wally in person yet, so I will refrain from voting until then. A lot will depend on the "personality"...

Re: What's your opinion of the new Wally?
I'm with Pilot Nut on this subject. Will Wally be a lump on a log, or try to hard to entertain and be a distraction? Or, hopefully he will be a crowd entertaining, fan unifing, mascot. The Jurys out .......Plus the first preformer who's Wally may not be the "right" person. It may take a while.
Having a mascot back is GRREEAATT
though!!!

Even though he does look like a relative of Gaston, I am just happy there is a mascot to begin with, but again until I see a full performance in a game and whatnot... I will reserve judgment.
For those of you not catching my Disney reference, I'm talking about this guy:

The fists up thing seems kind of taken from the whole Fighting Irish type of a deal. So, we have our fighting Wally now...

Saw Wally tonight for the first time in person... I have to say I was a bit skeptical after seeing the photos and videos... however, I was impressed tonight. I liked him. He was interacting with the crowd very well (but not over the top) and isnt as "freaky" looking in person.
Wally was wearing a soccer uniform shirt which looked MUCH better than the shirt in most of the pics.
I approve. Go Wally!

Thanks for the Wally "reports" guys. I know I'm becoming an "over the top" Pilot athletics fan when I look foward to my first mascot review with bated breath, lol.(Not to mention dressing the poor family dog in a Pilot BB shirt).
