Any acoustic guitar players here?
I'm a big fan of CF Martin acoustics, and I'm looking to buy a new one for my birthday next month. I'm thinking about getting another mahogany D-15 or a 000-15. I used to go to Artichoke Music in Portland, and I'm looking for a good deal in the Seattle/Portland area. I'd make a road trip to PDX for the right deal.
Does anyone recommend a store, etc.? Thanks.
I love Martins! I felt like I lost a piece of my soul when I sold my last one three years ago...

I could check with my brother, he goes to Seattle U and might know a few shops up in the Capitol Hill area... And if I'm not mistaken he plays a Martin...

So, I just bid on a Martin at ebay. The seller has a great reputation, and if I get it...it will save me a lot of $ versus buying it somewhere else...

I bought my daughters acoustic off of ebay. Its was a Fender replica of its old Blue's man issue from the 1960s. The Fender Tuning head which looks like a strat on an Acoustic body really looks different and cool. It also has a big throaty sound.
As cool as it is though nothing beats a Martin Acoustic. They sound good even when slightly out of tune. And such a breeze to fret. Enjoy.

I-net is probably your best option... I just talked to my brother friday, he got his through a friend who worked at guitar center so he basically got super duper employee pricing... Which really doesn't to anyone any good..

Yeah, I won my e-bay bid, and I got the Martin 000-15. It's a beauty...similar to the all mahogany guitar that Nick Drake recorded "Pink Moon" on. I owned a Martin D-15 before, and I'm sure I'll love this one just as much or more.
Those 1960s Fenders are nice. In fact, I'm going to go to a guitar store and play one just for fun today even though I'm no longer in the market or guitar hunting. They are a great value for the money...and there's nothing quite like aged wood in guitar land...
