2021 Recruiting

The Portland Pilots women's soccer team is bringing in seven recruits as Kayla Adams (Bellevue, Wash./Eastmont HS), Keeley Dockter (Seattle, Wash./Holy Names Academy), Briana Johnson (Inglewood, Calif./San Pedro HS), Bre Norris (Boise, Idaho/Boise HS), Maya Pellegrini (Littleton, Colo./Colorado Academy), Cally Togiai (Tualatin, Ore./Tualatin HS), and Elianna Wong (Los Gatos, Calif./Los Gatos HS) have all committed to the program.

All seven recruits will come to Portland as freshmen in the summer of 2021.

UP just added 5’11”  transfer Colby Wilson, who anchored the middle of Eastern Washington’s back Line and garnered Big Sky league honors last year. She is from Redondo Beach CA.



She is listed as a junior, so with the free year she should have two more years of eligibility.

Eastern Washington did not renew the contract of its last coach and hasn’t yet announced the next coaching appointment.

Nyota Katembo joins the Pilots.

Katembo, a 5-3 midfielder, joins the Pilots as a true freshman by way of Montreal, Quebec. Katembo played with regional squad Team Quebec from 2015 to 2018 and also with two club teams: FC Laval (2020) and AS Blainville (2021).

Arizona announced that freshman Nyota Katembo has transfered to Arizona.

Of the seven would-be seniors who came to UP as freshmen in 2021, two are gone (Johnson to Alcorn St. and Pellegrini to Western Carolina), five are still on the roster, and one, Bre Norris, is on the United Soccer Coaches Division 1 goalkeepers watch list...
