BYU Saturday @ 7pm
She’s baaaak……Cloee Colohan leads her 25th ranked BYU team against her former school at 7 pm at Merlo Field tomorrow.
I’ve been told Cloee has had this game marked on her calendar for quite some time, and is confident her experienced and slightly older team can prevail against a much younger group of Pilots….we’ll see.
I encourage all soccer fans to come out to UP early and take in the men’s basketball game against a very tough Concordia-Irvine team at 3:30 at the Chiles Center…..admission is FREE!
For those of you who haven’t seen Cloee for awhile……she’s changed her look a little:

Down 1-0. Seems like we need experience on the field not youthful mistakes.

It was a great game with the give and take. A bit bummed about the result.
It just means we have to win out to get a piece of the WCC title.
I thought the bonfire song was funny, though.

Yea, Geez, I have to agree....good atmosphere, good game.....UP lost!Geezaldinho wrote:It was a great game with the give and take. A bit bummed about the result.

There was some very good play on both sides, and it never seemed one team was dominating the other.
UP had its chances, but BYU scored the only goal. Disappointing, but BYU won it; UP didn't lose it!

Re: BYU Saturday @ 7pm
Biggest difference to me is that we do not win the ball in the air. As a team we do not correctly judge where the ball will land in order to get in proper position. This goes for corner kicks as well. Our execution on corner kicks is dreadful.
And, to get something else off my chest, the forwards (except for Noelle) seem to wait before taking off down field when the ball is kicked.
And...I miss Michelle Cruz. She was having her best season yet! I thought Ellie Boon played very well on defense, though.
