So, obviously when Jason Collins came out in the NBA it continued to elevate the importance of gays and lesbians in sports. Portland's Rapinoe also came out in Sports Illustrated and other interviews in recent years. Please vote for her below:

It is great reading about her successes. Lyon seems like a real power. Will there be any broadcast of the final? I assume that will be today.

Megan's Lyon team just lost 0:1 to Wolfsburg on a PK by Martina Müller in the 74'.

Hand ball in the box by Georges.

The match report shows Megan only played the first half.

The FFF, under heavy pressure, and with the agreement of both coaches agreed to let Montpellier and Lyon replay their match. The redo will be the 5 th, with the winner playing St Ettienne in the final on the 8 th.

When she was subbed in at half time on Saturday in the Coupe du France Final against Saint Ettienne, she spent a lot of time ignored moving back and forth on the left wing. Seemed like most of the big stars e.g. my fave player Louisa Necib Very Happy keep sending it up to whoever was up top to the right... Le Sommer? Too bad because Necib and Sonia Bonpaster (playing her farewell match) sent brilliant lofted passes which were headed in for 2 great goals. Pino kept getting balls often kept going out of bounds. Lyon has so many star players that imho that any NWSL teams like Thorns or Sky Blue would be definite underdogs against. Lyon has a large organized group of "Ultras" violent hardcore supporters that I don't think "the Rose Army" would want a piece of even at Jeld Wen.

Lyon plays in a league where all but two teams have rosters composed of nearly all amateur players - including st. Ettienne. Their 9-0 and 12-0 results show they aren't in a competetive league, not that they are so great. The best men's leagues in the world score 2.6 goals per game for both teams.

Even Seattle could do well against virtually all WPS teams, especially with Rapinoe rostering for them.

Megan said that when she first got to Lyon her biggest problem was that she had to slow down her pace of play to fit in with the other players, which is sort of like asking Steve Nash to slow down his pace of play when he was in his prime.

I just watched WNY beat Sky Blue from field level with Carly LLoyd and Abby Wamback in form. Old as they are, Lyon would have great trouble competing with the third place team in the league. Abby would still scare the crap out of any defender in the world if they had to mark her.
