Here is a shocker.

Illinois knocked out Penn State 1-0 in the Big10 (12?) semis.
What's worse, Maya Hays came out of the game with an injury. Hope she is OK.

Glancing at the tables, I think this assures a BYU #1 seed if they beat saint Mary's tommorrow.

Marquette is up 1-0, 82'. (Goal was 71'.) Shots on goal are 7-2 in Marquette's favor.

some more shockers:

Virginia 4 : FSU 2 probably cost FSU a #1 seed

USC 3 : UCLA 2 in overtime. Probably also cost UCLA a #1 seed

well, UP -SFU is the last conference game on the docket.

BYU beat Pepperdine 2-0 to stretch its conference lead.

SCU beat SMC 2-0

so the standings at the top of the table are

BYU 21
Pepperdine 15
SCU 15
UP 14

a win tonight gets us to 17 points and the #2 spot in the conference. a tied gets a three way tie for second place.

I hope there aren't 5 bus loads of students shipping out to party land like last night instead of coming to senior night.

We now have 3 conf that don't have tourney who we know who is Auto bid:

Pac 12 Stanford. Still has Cal tomorrow but they lead conf at 10-0 and if they win or draw likely have lock on #1 seed.

Princeton won Ivy and gets auto bid. Lots of teams with-in range for them.

BYU gets WCC auto bid and I am giving them a #1 seed. I suspect they will play Montana/Idaho St winner in round 1.
